Our First Jazz Game

Friday night we attended our first ever Jazz game as a family. Our visiting teacher was king enough to give us six free tickets so we figured we would give it a shot! The first thing Caleb noticed when we gt there was how high up the seats were. He is scared of heights and looked a little green the higher we kept climbing, then turned to me and said "Mom, I am so so scared right now." Luckily his friend Sean was sitting next to us to keep his mind occupied.

Spencer and Meg had a really hard time with the noise. The stadium passed out free earplugs which all the kiddos wanted. But, by the second quarter Meghan was in tears even with the plugs, a scarf, and her hood up over her ears. Spencer was hiding beneath our seats. I took them out while the other half of our family stayed for the third quarter. The events center has an indoor play area with fake grass that we hung out in, still a little too rowdy for our oldest one with a raging headache.

We gave it our best go but had to leave early. It was a huge eye opener for me that we have come a long way, and still have a long way to go! I'm excited to start OT again soon. I think next time we'll have to bring a pair of those big aviator ear muffs and a blanket to put down for our youngest. The highlights were the cotton candy and helium filled mini blimp that dropped prizes. Todd loved it and is hoping we get to go back soon.
