Our Attic Becomes A Bedroom

After six years of living here with an unfinished attic and a new little bambino on the way we finally decided it was time to expand upward and make the attic into a bedroom. Our two girls could not be more opposite in their habits...the younger a free spirit who likes to throw erything in her closet and consider the room clean versus our oldest who firmly believes everything has a set place. She likes to organize. So as you can imagine we had fights breaking out quite frequently in the shared bedroom.

We hired the husband of one of my BYU roommates and Todd put in several hours sheet rocking and painting. It's nice to have a new room, a new roof, a new garage and new fencing. But I will say I think we are ready for a break from contruction and wind damage repair for a while. Our new attic is finished. The kiddos spent Christmas Eve up there while the giant retro ride on Big Bird found a new home with the boys. Now to get the baby's space ready!
