Our Mini Stay-Cation

This year for UEA when plans fell through to go to St. George we decided to do a mini stay cation here near by. Our fist thing to do was drive up the anyone into Park City where we shopped and ate on Main Street, of course stopping in at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Then we drove Heber where we visited the old Heber Creeper Railroad Station and found a hotel. We went on the Haunted Canyon railroad ride which leaves off at Nunn's Park in Provo and enjoyed orange sherbet cones from Dairy Keen

The next day we visited historic Old Town Heber. Todd and I decided we'd really love to buy an old General Store like this and fix it up one day.

We drove through Midway and into Provo. There we visited my old hunts, and dorms. The Creamery on 9th, the mall where I broke own and bough t my first pair of maternity jeans. We visited the Bean Museum on BYU campus and on our way out of the Wilk saw a beaver fall out the bottom of a car. No joke. Some poor college student picked in up in Springville and the beaver finally decided to drop out of the engine while prompyly killing the car and hiding behind a recylcling bin. As a witness we had to wait for campus police to show up with animal control to save the poor thing. Bizarre!

We headed up to Bridal Veil Falls for a walk and swim where I caught this awesome pic of Spencer and Dad taking a fall walk. Then we had dinner with our cousins Nate and his wife Liz and Hailey at the Brick Oven. We drove home tired but fulfilled. What a fun way to stay cation!
